Yeah great shots, I'll see if I can get some reasonably ones. Brocky and the Skyline that was good, wonder how he would have gone in the 1979 recording breaking A/9X??

Remember at one stage (can't remember who's Torrie XU1) going hammer and throat down the main straight with a Mustang, it was one quick XU1.
To see this type of racing was fantastic, heaps better than the V8Supercars IMHO,  at least than ran different classes in the one race, not like now!

Was going to go down in my Torrie, but thought it was going to be to HOT, so took the Commo, for the A/C, but it wasn't a bad day heat wise, so was sphewing I didn't now.
Anyway can't wait for another Historic Touring Car event

Another website www.vhrr.com.au

I cant get that other website to load....

and great pics... thanks

350LH - Thanx for posting the pics. Sam.

I'm glad you all liked them. I have heaps more which I have yet to edit.

I have been following historic racing - particularly Group Nc for the past
10 years. It really is growing in popularity because in my opinion its run by
enthusiasts without the domination of commercial interests.
You can walk through the pit garages and talk to the drivers and mechanics -
stick your head under the bonnet and take photos - its just a fantastic atmopsphere.

There were 23 Toranas entered in the Group Nc races on the weekend and it was
terrific to see Trevor Talbot and Andrew Williams really puting the heat on the Camaros.

Phillip Island Classic is a great event and the exotic cars that turn up to compete or even in the car park make it one of the best motor racing events on the calendar. If you haven't been to it before then pencil it in for next February.

Cheers JR.

No probs at all - I think you did a great job with the photos!

I'm still working on getting myself setup for car racing here in Adelaide, (just bought a car carrier today) and I'm looking forward to being able to take my car to a few different tracks around Aus.... I'd have to say Phillip Island is right up there at the top of my list of places to run at..!!

I've got a particular interest in ex race Torana's, so I will have to make sure I get down to the next one (and the muscle car masters as well)
