Hey,

We at Early Fords are looking into making a club strictly for cruising & meets, we arnt going to put together an authorised club, we just want to get a group of keen old car fanatics together to meet around the brisbane area. Once a month.

We have thought a suitable name for the club would be 6080 club, A club made for vehicles 1960 Through to 1980, We arnt bias against what vehicles cruise with us, nore is there any sort of certain specifications your car has to be at to come on a cruise (besides roadworthy and registered).
So whether you drive a Ford, Holden, Valiant, Morris, Vauxhaul, Volvo, Chevy, Pontiac, We want to get you involved. (Ok, maybe not volvo).

There will be no strict guidelines, you dont have to be a member to come to our club meets, and being a member just means that you get to have input to all cruises organised on our forums,.

Right now we are just looking for interest, We are tossing ideas up here and there, but basically we just want to get together a group of car lovers like ourselves, meet up on a sunday morning, and maybe drive to a nice lookout/barbeque spot/maybe a pub/ or just a nice drive up the highway.

We think that the clubs mostly organising cruises are a bit strict, and the guidelines to come for a cruise are a bit hard to follow if your not a member.

So we wish to create a non official club, so we dont have to have allocated monthly meetings, annual meetings, club fees etc.

And who knows, if we get enough interest after our first cruises, we might be able to put together a club and get club rego for all who dont use their cars to often.

Cruise Details Below.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here we go; the 6080 cruise club details have been worked out, so its a definate.

We will meet up at Aspley Hypermarket Carpark, Opposite Mcdonalds.
at 9.30.

We will leave Aspley Mcdonalds at 10 to give people a little while to show up.
Heading towards Bp at MorayField for a short pitstop.
Around 10.20 to 10.25 We will be leaving after 15 mins, around 10.40

Next stop is kilcoy, we will have a short break at the park next to the pub for refreshments, and to pickup anyone else around there interested.
This will be a 10 minute break arriving at about 10.20
Leave 10.30

We will then head on to Glenmorganvale, to the glenmorganvale hotel to be precise, this is on Glenmorganvale Lowwood Road, this is where will will stop and have lunch, either in the pub, or on the barbeques. We will be arriving here around 11.10.

Bring Radio walkie talkies if you want, we will organise a station on the day.
Bring BBQ lunch for yourself, or get a feed at the pub.

We hope to see you all there ready to drive, Should be some nice cars out on show, to really kick the 6080 club into action.

All cars welcome 1960 to 1980. So come along it will be a fun day out.
