I have a 11/75 LH SLR 5000 with round LX headlights. Did the last of the LHs have these round headlights fitted by holden?

No.
Only L34's had round headlights.
All other LH Toranas including SLR 5000's had rectangular headlights.

But the square ones look crap, so most change them over. Some sort of bad drugs in the design studio at the time.
I've posted here how you change them. Basically adjusters and springs need to go to the opposite sides for square, and you'll need the square surrounds and a long plastic block for the bottom hole.

That's not quite correct. All LH 1900 Toranas (S, SL & Plus 4) also had round headlights.

I agree the LX round lights look better but I am restoring as per factory

This is correct, on how they made a 4 cyl version look different to 6/8 cyls including the grille.
