It looks like it's been sitting there since the days when people didn't care too much about GTR's that they'd go to the extent of making a fake one, tags and all...

If I have read the tag correctly as H225841 - it comes up as a GTR completed 13/3/72 and sold by Norman Booth Dee Why in March '72. The original engine was L115944
The ADR tag rivets look undisturbed also.

It looks like Brooklands Blue (same as mine) but you haven't put up a picture of the Trim Tag. If BB as above - it should be 568-13131.

I've never seen Adriatic Turquoise, but I assume that it looks something like this.
Wait on, it says that Adriatic Turquoise is metallic...

13883 is Adriatic Turquoise Met. It may have had a colour change or the paint has lost its metallic finish. Still looks like blue to me though.
Do you have the Body No from the Trim Tag - to see if it accords with a 3/72 car?

The body number appears to be "date correct".

I was chatting to a guy at the carwash last night, and he said his uncle has a Mint condition GTR that has been in his family since new. The guy said that when his uncle thinks he is ready to drive it (and safe to) Its his... For only $2000!!!!!
So to all you hunters out there! Stay on the hunt!!!
