I'll see how I go, Dont want to put all my money into this car. As the torana is the True Passion! This thing just needs to get me from A to B in a bit of style... LOL and be practical!

Hey Matty, just stumbled on this thread, had a read from go to woah!
Congrats mate, nice :spoton:
I don't have any pics handy, but I've got a VX Berlina (Ex Cop... Detective's?) with the FE2 set up etc, it's riding on CV8 Monaro 18's and is a sweet ride too, the missus is always pinching it.
I get around 10-11 l/100k's all city running, got 7.2 l/100k's on a trip to Torquay fully loaded with the Family....

I haven't seen any pics of you guarding the ute with that HUGE Matty grin.... :D
What's with the pavers in the back? Something to do with your real job, (Not Macca's) :D

Take it easy with her, don't wanna see you having to spend a squillion bucks on it just to keep it running.... enjoy.

Thanks Dick!

In the future i wouldnt mind getting some VE 19" SS wheels on it. And lower it a touch... but for the moment. I am more than happy with it!

My economy is around 13-14l/100km's at the moment. When i get a bit of cash aside. I want to get the PCM tuned, and a better flowing exhaust. And hopefully i can get the economy down to around 12l/100kms.

I will get some good pics of the ute and the Torana this weekend. As i am using it to tow the Torana up to Shepparton, for a weekend of FUN on the skidpan... So i will make sure I get a pic of myself standing in front of them both... one for the photo albums.

With the pavers... I let my old man borrow the ute for the day to do some work around the house... I don't really need a ute for my line of work (Graphic Designer). I always wanted a ute, so i thought i might as well get one! Plus its really handy for picking up car parts!

VE wheels won't fit, Matty :P VE's have 14mm studs, everything earlier had 12mm...

They'd look bloody awesome on it though. Maybe look into some CV8-Z/SSZ wheels... They look a bit similar.

You can get VE wheels that have been modified to fit Earlier commodores...

The Centre Bores are smaller on VE's, So they bore out the centres to fit on a VT-VZ etc...

In regards to the studs. There would be a wheel nut to sort out that issue...

http://cgi.ebay.com....1QQcmdZViewItem

But as you said, the CV8-Z/SSZ are similar, and would look just as hot!

I thought you might be able to get them to suit earlier, because I think I saw some on a VZ the other day :D

Bloody nice looking wheels though.

Yeh, you can modify to suit VE wheels to fit earlier, but can't get earlier to suit VE (But why would you want to anyway!)

I once had one of these utes as a copany car and as everyone knows company cars and rental cars are "speical" and i put a "few"too many besser blocks in it, it bent that bad that the doors wouldnt open and the mud flap (screws) on the ground
even the pillar behind the little window was rippled, but when i unloaded it it was fine (well the dorrs would open but the ripple stayed) hehehe.. got to love company cars

Nice ride mate

Grab a new PS reservoir for $30 while you are there. Makes the engine bay look 10x cleaner ;)

EDIT: LS2 leads??? And who tuned it for you?

Ahh, Good idea about the reservoir! LOL! Mine is hideous and yellow!!!

They are MSD leads, got them off eBay for like $130 delivered to my door... The old set broke when i first got the car and change the spark plugs! Replacement standard leads were like $125 so i thought id just go MSD ones!

To be honest, no real power difference... But they look better!

The ute was tuned by a guy i know, He just does them himself as a bit of a Hobby! He is in Melbourne, I met him off another forum.

Did Jezzab tune it? :P

Crap pic below but it makes a big difference. Just keep your original PS cap.
They come with a VE "Made-in-China" style one now
