ive seen people get the holden verification letters from holden regarding their car.
just wondering how you actually get one? Obviously its from holden, but does anyone have a link to a site i go to, or a contact number/email for someone?
i went to the holden site but cant see anything there.

Hi
As far as I know they don't issue letters in respect of the LC range because of inccmplete records.
This is what one forum member received in reply to a request about an LC.
Bazza

Thank you for your email regarding your LC Torana.
We advise that unfortunately, due to the age of the vehicle in question, we no longer have this information on our records. As such, we are not able to answer your enquiry.
However, we would suggest that you contact a reputable car club local to your area.
Should you need to contact the Holden Customer Assistance Centre, please refer to the case reference number mentioned above.
Yours sincerely,

I got the same reply when i enquired about a letter for a HT Monaro. Apparently they passed all the pre 1974 info on to Holden car clubs.

For LH, just ring Holden customer assistance (look up on website) and go from there. I did this for my LX hatch a year or so ago, all easy and quick.

Yeah, I received the same "Sorry, no can do" answer, but in a phone call. Apparently anything after LC is OK.
To get the ph # in the first place, I simply called a local dealership (Hamilton Holden) here in Adl. My original enquiry related to the sale of my car back in 1970. Bazza (thanks mate) had tracked it down to John H Ellers who were sold to Hamiltons. Unfortunately that's where the trail ended. Hamiltons don't keep archived records from the '70's but suggested calling GMH.

Got one for my LH about 3 months ago. Took 9 months to come as my request went missing the first time.

Just ring the 1800 number and tell them you are after a letter of authenticity. Requires use of old device known as telephone, but is quick and prompt.
I believe Millissa is doing ID's for LC's still. PM Tiny for a contact, or is it pinned in LC/LJ area???
EDIT: Reminds me of the Gonk skit on Sesame Street. You can find that on Youtube.
