Mmm, I usually have a preference for LJ's, but that LC is nice. Love the wheels, suit it.

A guy from Wollongong owns GTR355, have seen him out crusing a couple of times, very sweet car. From memory, it won top Tudor at the Nats a couples of times (2006 & 2007?).

oooh i have a few things to add-

That LJ (GTR355) was at Toranafest a few years back, and yes it picked up top tudor at the nats a few years in a row I think.

I cant remember the guys name, but his uncle went to tech way back when with my old man. He now runs ultratune at erina.

Very nice car though!

And one more,

Craig.A
I know the guy that used to own that car (after RDP) more then likely the same bloke your brother bought it from. Guy by the name of Matt.

I can say his last name (just) but have no idea how to spell the bloody thing! But he is now running a full chassised 57 chev bodied, big block drag car.

I remember the night he first took that torana to the drags, ran too wide of a tyre and did some damage to the rear 1/4s. But a small tubbing and a fix up later, it was perfect again.

and while we are on the topic of shameless plugs-

Yep Chris, thats exactly where the car came from. When Matt's in QLD my brother crews for him on the Chev.

The LJ was a little worse for wear from its drag racing excursions but is slowly being returned to pristine condition. The guys at RDP built an amazing car, lots of quality engineering, but the current engine is a bit too angry for street use. Its going to be de-tuned a little soon.

The BIGROB LC is a real good looking car, glad to see it made this thread :spoton:

This is another favourite of mine. Great original car.

And IMHO the best looking LC XU1 colour.

He was up there not too long ago (like in the last couple of weeks)

We had a laugh because his missus had to drive the whole way up and he was going to sleep (and she wasnt too happy about it!)

But FWIK without the Chev, apparently had problems just before the event.

TBM, you should post a better picture of your LC GTR.

Here's one from the archives. An LJ with wheel arch flares - just so the LH/LX guys feel included :D

The guy who owns GTR355 is Rob Belsito. It was Xtreme Holdens issue #1 cover car. Awesome bit of gear. Rob's mate Dave owns the purple V8 LJ that was on Blood Sweat and Gears, also a beautiful car.

Cheers,
Andrew
