The other extreme is I had a mate who had 13x10 12 slotters (showing how long ago this was) with those slippery BFG 235/50. They had an interesting curved sidewall.

Hi All.  I have four 235x45x13 tires. Will these fit my stock Sprintmaster rims (CSA)  ?

Hi dave, for your LC/J?
as others said, yes...just.
mine has 235/50 Eagers on CSA Sprinties, tho I feel these are just
too wide on an LJ. Rears weren't a problem with the gaurd lip rolled
& no spacers but the fronts have a couple of issues. With no spacers
fitted the outer tread blocks are in line with the gaurd lip but the sidewall
bulge is past it.

bit hard to see from that angle & cars stripped n stored now.

Slight clearance issue on the inside too, when I picked my LJ up there
was a rubbing noise on full lock so checked it when home & found the tyre
shoulder was rubbing the brake hose & was nearly thru to fluid. Also that
clamp around the hose that the spring hooks to cut into the sidewall...a bit.

So check those clearances (on its wheels/curb weight)

I run 215/50/13 SF330 on the front with 2 spacers and they just clear everything, SF330 235/50/13 on the rears have plenty of clearance..

Hi Colin, Dunlop do a 225/50/13. They're a good old school brand but two things I don't like about them are....
Thick rubber rim protector on side wall. White line in the Centre tread. Apart from that they're a good price ($100) and nice tread block.

I reckon the 235/60/13 would look too tall. I had the 225/60/13 and they're too tall, they look wrong.

Much better if it was 235/50

Why would they be too tall bud.there is
ample room to put bigger tire on rear..
original stockos are taller.you only need
correct offset for rear and spring to get it sitting good.60 series are a way better ride
too bud..

Hey Maz, It's not a fitment problem.  Just maybe a look thing.  The back wheel looks a bit like a drag car with heaps of sidewall rubber.

Probably just my preference???

Cheers

Marty

I wonder how the 235's would go on my 8" rims, I am looking for a little wider than 205 and only 60 series but $300.00 each!

^^^100% agree. I had 225/60/13 SF340 Eagers on my LJ and they looked like balloon tyres.

205/60/13 are good as are 235/50/13

On what rim?? its most likey your rim
is too small for tire..

A 235 would b perfect Darylle on 8" rim long
as what i mentioned above good offset rim
so you can get tire under the guard

235/60/13 would like ridiculous to be honest ! 50 series after 205 are the only 1's that look good, don't forget how to calculate the aspect ratio 235mm wide & 60% of that tall = 141 mm tall compared to 117.5mm of the 50 series.

Have you seen the antique tyres update on there 235/50/13?
Available early next year for around $250. Cheaper if you order before November 30 2017. They also have the 215 fronts to match being made.
Much better size combo.

I just think on any 13" rim 6" to 8" they're going to look like 4x4 tyres ! 50's look better proportioned.

They are a very small tire grumps.50 series.
half the guys out there would b running a 60 series up front ,they are a better ride tire
and not as harsh as the 50s.

The 205s look good because they are on the
right size rim lol.hence me saying 235/60
On an 8 is would look very similar just a tad
wider..thats it..

Wtf has rim size got to do with it? He's talking about the sidewall height which gets pretty high when you have a 60 series tyre bigger than about a 205, but if you like the four wheel drive/tractor look go for it.
