Anyone got some pics of a A9X thermo fan and bracket?

There is one on ebay fan and bracket, i would of got the picture for you but i have no idea on how to do that yet.

looks like a uc factory a/c condensor fan. check my phototbucket site for all a/c pics

Rory,

As pointed out, your bracket arrangment is not A9X.

The plastic fan is and the motor looks to be correct but it is always the little things like casting and electrical entry etc that can make the motor incorrect.

Please note that the motor is a piece of crap as the front bearing and brush/commutator crap them selves over time.
I have repair a few for club members.

What you have there is a HJ-HZ thermo fan for cars with aircon. The fan itself is the same, the bracket is not.

This is a factory air thermo fan for an LX Torana

Dam, I didn't see the bracket, I have the correct motor and the fan approx 12" but need to fab up the correct A9X style bracket.

Just the plastic fan is a davis craig DC-0010 part number from memory.

They MAY still be available new too?

Yes, the motor is Preslite the fan Davies Craig. Not sure if any of it is available new or not but you could still buy the flat motor one a few years ago. I can't believe the price that one just sold for on EBAY, wow I have a spare bracket there hmmm lol

Its not as if you can't make the bracket...its not made out of unobtanium...and the dimensions are in the parts manual aren't they?

No the dimensions aren't in the spares book but yes not that hard to make

WB Aircon thermo fan has the same Preslite motor and fan, just have to make up the bracket, Cheers
