Alex (my eldest ) wants his amp and sub fitted in his boot and i was wondering if people could post some pics of theres and hopefully some how to's and what you used. We have made a start from a pic that we found on AMC sales but i have seen others since and am now open to options, i also like the boot in 2wild4u.

At the moment i have a couple of sheets of 15mm mdf but think that is going to make it a bit heavy at the back, it also has to be practical as he still needs to carry a spare and jack and maybe some tools.

This is in an LJ, me and a mate whipped up a box that fits in between the wheels and bolts up against the back behind the seats. All out of 12-13mm MDF from memory. They recomended 19mm but that was way over kill i rekon.

Hi Mort

Thanks for adding that link for me, saved me a few mins going over old files :)

If we get time we will be redoing my boot for Toranafest so I will add any updates to it here and in my Tangerine Dream thread. The boot has to be redone, its just a matter of seeing how much time I get.
Right now my car is being worked on by my sponsor and will be in his workshop Performance Garage for the rest of this week before I see it again.

Cheers
Herne

No worries Herne, took me awhile to find it but eventually did and look forward to the new boot.

mort, i just did mine using 3.5mm mdf except the floor which has been done it 10mm, that way it all stayed light, as for the amps i made brackets that bolt in to hold the amps and then the panells just sit over them, the panel you can see on mine around the sub, folds down to expose my battery and stuff, worked out pretty good

good conceal, Alex's battery is still in the front so if i had that panel i would probably put a door in it with a storage box behind for all the bits and pieces.

DJ, I only worked out what that blue motif in your boot was the other day. Had me completely baffled for a long time. I like it :spoton:

Your old boot that is, with the single Xplod sub and amp...
