Dont know about a seat height adjuster but I think the drivers seat at least was mounted slightly higher in the A9X's? Maybe just an urban myth.

I think the myth has its beginning in the Motor Manual Dec 1977 edition. Feature story The meanest Holden Yet! The article written by John Mellor road testing an A9X hatch, states The RTS made the car very manageable and we liked driving it from the raised drivers seat. The seat height is up so that short drivers can see over the top of the bonnet scoop and while it does reduce headroom it gives much better and broader view of the road. I have seen an Jan 78 SL hatch with a raised passenger seat but to assume this supports the report that they may have made some would be a long shot.
The myth lives on

My unproven understanding is:-

The seat foam density was much higher thus giving the feeling you sat higher.

I can't see power steering listed as an option. Power antenna is listed as an option. Maybe I need glasses? B)

There is no reference to any different part numbers for A9X seats, however, what you are saying is correct. The foam is higher in density giving the feeling you are sitting higher. I've swapped seats from my 11/77 SS hatch and 11/77 A9X and the A9X seats give a feeling of sitting higher and it's purely in the foam

It would be nice to find some company that could reproduce the foam part of the front seats.
