There is a difference I think. Something to do with the trim on the back of the squab.

The SS seats are nothing special other than being fold-forward for the hatch, no extra shape or bolstering over base models.

Yeah rodomo is correct

LX might have a plastic panel on the back, that wraps around the sides, coloured the same colour as the trim from factory, normally cracks and even if it's in good condition it looks pox.

The other might have trim that comes the whole way around the back of the seat into a square cavity set back an inch or so. Inside that cavity is a plate which has also been trimmed to match, this is the style which looks good and lasts, i THINK it's UC.

Anyway, make sure you put the trimmed style in, not the plastic-backed one, I don't know if there is actually any difference between the seats though (you could probably take the plastic panels off an LX? seat and trim it the same as a UC one if you get my drift).

That's all picky shit though. The seats are completely universal, as long as they are HATCH seats so they fold forward for passengers to jump in the back you're cool. Floorpans are the same in that area etc

The rear seat in a UC hatch is trimmed differently and looks better imo.

I think the guy is only looking for fronts to replace aftermarket buckets.

thanks heaps for the info guys, yea just looking for the front buckets, and yea making sure they got the flip forward mechanism, was mainly unsure whether the uc seats wrapped around a bit more, so if the actual seat shape/trim is the same thats all sweet
thanks again guys

Old thread dug-up.  Just to try and get a handle on this, are the bucket seat frames between LX and UC the same/interchangeable? Cheers Ron
