stupid SLR5000 graphics

 

This is standard for all non-A9X LX SLR 5000's though, it's the flares with the graphic that make it look atrocious.

 

Imo, if you're going to go flares, leave the rocker panels/sides clean, the way Holden intended.

Yeah I know. GMH went stupid after HJ and LH and started to wreck stuff. LX SLR5000, HX and HZ GTS, HX Sandman etc. They nailed the LH SLR5000 and ruined it with LX.

Picnic set on the bonnet doesn't help the looks much. Not a fan of scoop or sticky out air filters and this has both.....

All they did was make the LX 6cyl and V8 cars look like 4cyl LH.

I don't mind it apart from the rims, and the fact that he had to make such a mess of the front flare and spoiler to allow them to reach full lock.

I've seen that a lot on lesser rims, going way back.

 

So many different variations and many just don't look right - two black flare bolts attaching the front spoiler to the flare, black piping running down the spoiler/flare seam, etc. I guess it's open to interpretation when flares where never standard from the GMH factory.
