Did the LH ever come out with retractable seat belts?

I have one with a front bench seat that uses the standard non-retractable belts and I absolutely hate these. They tend to not hook up properly and get caught in the door jam etc. Fitting some newer ones maybe LX might be an option. Has anyone done this or can give an opinion/help?

never seen an LH with factory retractables, where they bolt down the bottom you will need to make a plate to keep them square so they roll to put on.

When I receive the car this morning, I will look at the base of the 'B' pillar and see what is there. I might be luck and have the bolt holes there already.....unlikely but I can hope, can't I?

bolt holes will be there... but the bottom of pillar curves in, that is why you need a flat plate for them to sit against

sorry about the quality, im not sure who made the bracket but it really just connects to the retractor so it sits straight against the curve of the floor. the last one is sideways and shows where the retractor bolts on. how bad does mine look? lol ill clean that up now.

Do others agree with this statement? I have a set of retractables in the front of the L34 and the look factory to me.

It's not a statement, rather an observation. Kev didn't say that the LH Torana did not have factory retractables, just that he's never seen a LH with factory retractables.

I can't say I've seen a LH with factory retractables. Maybe as V-SLR5000-P has suggested, an option???

Mine had retractables in it before I stripped it.
Don't remember any plate being there when I took them out, but it was a while ago.

I'll have a look tomorrow.

Mine has retractable's! (SL)

But I cant remember if I stole them from my LX?? But if I did, I did not have to adjust them or make a plate.

My 75 SL has factory retractables. "Clippan" (I think that's what they're called) do brand new replacements. Not the same as standard ones though.
