Hey Guys, We have a run coming up on April 9th to Launceston, This one is going to be a little different than other runs but will be a lot of fun, you will need a passenger and also a pen or pencil.

We are going to meet at the Casino in Launceston then cruise down to the Motor Museum and from there we can only guess, But I do know we are heading over the Batman Bridge at some point to have a BBQ next to the River, so bring some BBQ food. We will bring along some soft drinks and some nibblies for the kids. It's gunna be lotsa fun so don't miss it, get it on your calander.

APRIL 9th Launceston Run

Meeting Points

7:45am - Penguin Main Street
8:15am - Devonprt C-Max Carpark
9:30am - Launceston Casino

Hopefully a few might travel up for the run from Hobart, If so you guys could organise a meeting spot and time, Like Joes Garage or Something.

Make sure you bring along a Passenger, a Pen or Pencil, and Also some stuff to Throw on the BBQ.

Cheers

Les

Buggar. A week early - do you think I should pressure those that do my roster to give me the day off. Could also print this thread out as the date gets closer and stick it up on the notice board at work. Subtle hint for them.

Easter will be my first weekend off since Christmas and the boss said I could take one off if I wanted. Just not the last 2 I was supposed to have off.

Chalk me in. I should be able to con a passenger from somewhere.

Too Nice mate, Print it out now and get it stuck in his head, lol. The more the merrier.

Postal_dood - There is another fella from Hobart, Red6, I'll send him a PM and let him know maybe you could see if he is keen to come.

Yeah, very close. Diff center should be here this week, tailshaft part turned up but it was the wrong yoke (GRRR). So as soon as diff gets here i'll whack it in and measure up the tailshaft and get it done. Then she's a goer.

I've wired up the Multiple spark ignition, give the carbies a bit of a tune and it's running sweet, so at the moment it'll be there. Hopefully everything goes to plan, hehe.

Hi I would be very interested in being a part of this run, I am living in Hobart and would like to travel from here with the rest of the Torana's to meet your group at Launceston, providing I can get time off work as I work weekends.
Can you send me the details on the run ie meeting place of the Hobart boys or the phone number of the organiser of the Hobart end.

Regards Bruce

Hatch comes back from the bodyworks again tomorrow.
Sort a couple of small breathing issues out and should be ready to blow a few cobwebs out of her again!!

Just gotta hope that I dont break her again in the middle of Launnie like I did the other week when I was down there!!

Last time there she spread the clutch fork so I had nothing!!
Was a fun way to drive out of the middle of the city.
Wind her over on the starter till she fired then give her a big stab on the throttle so she didnt stall and naturally when all that comes togethor it ends in heaps of wheelspin and stuff until the next set of lights when we have to do it all again.

LOL, hehehe, nice.

I might be pushing mine on the next run, its all ready and juts waiting on diff center and a yoke, the yoke turned up but it was the wrong one so I sent i back. Diff was supposedly sent last monday, so i wrote to the guy yesty and he sent an email back telling me he'd only just posted it today which was monday a week later, GRRR :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: . I could have had it done by now, instead it's all gunna come down to the last minute. Now I'll have to make a special trip up the coast one night after after work, if they both turn up that is.

Crossing my fingers......

Les :banghead:

Sorry blokes as I have to give the run a miss. A mate died this week so I'm off to Sydney tomorrow which has eaten up $'s for the run.

All I can say is - RIP Pete Wells, a great musician, a rock legend & most importantly, a great friend!

I have scared a bloke into being a passenger and my days off have changed again but for the better. Have the weekend off now without having to pressure the boss so I'll be there - if I wake up on time that is. Just need to run a bit of fresh petrol through the system so it will start a bit easier - joy job for Saturday.

This means im also gunna miss out on the last drag meet of the season, unless it rains like hell on friday, Bring on the rain, then it will be post-poned and give me another week to get the t/shaft done.
