Holden cranks

hi all i have two holden 6 cylinder cranks that i am going to be listing on ebay soon, i think that they are 186 cranks but i am not totally sure. can anyone shed some light on how to identify what they are. i can supply pics if that helps.

maybe some pics and maybe the numbers on cranks as they might be steel ones if the are 186 ones?.

Hi,
i think the 7420005 is the steel crank but am sure sombody else can confirm this do you know what size the jurnals are on these cranks?.

but i have been wrong before.hehe

Does'nt match any of the torana cranks

closest i found in the lc book was 7431327 - 2250, 2600, 2850 auto

7431320 comes up in the HQ parts book as a 173 neoprene rear main seal crank.
In the HQ HJ and HZ parts book the closest I can find to 7420005 is 7420004 which is a timing cover gasket for a 6cyl engine.
By the HJ parts book the cranks start with 993 numbers so it would be older than I would expect.

Hi,youre right Hayden the 005 is steel lol.Will look at my other cranks tomorrow and confirm on the other crank.

Just stripped down a 179 and the crank is 7431320 so must be a steel crank going by this thread.

but unsure if crank you have got is steel or not sombody will know.
