Been looking into the alloy head option for my 202 but these heads only come in 12 port versions. Just wondering if anyone out there knows if you can get adaptors to enable you to bolt up a 9 port intake manifolds onto a 12 port heads.

2 steps forward, 1 step back I reckon.
You could cut and shut the manifold.

I would be one step ahead still if that was the case. I have triple CD strombergs with original Holden manifold and love the original look, that is why I do not want to change my intake set up.

Probably better just to fabricate a new intake rather than butcher the original.. Performance wise it won't be much different to a good 9 port, the main advantage will be the few kilos weight saved. Don't forget the extractors will have to be changed or modified as well.

To fit a 9 port manifold to 12 port head you have to add some metal to the flanges to allow the studs to locate the manifold & maybe a little to the bottom. As for the extractors you may have to add a little to the flanges as well.

the front and rear pipes need bending going from red to blue...they don't sit right and are under tension.

Looks to be an attempt at a 12 port conversion.

I suspect you will have to do something similar if you wish to retain a factory manifold.Just do it better.

Needs a lot of clean up work & a port divider to finish it.Not sure why they have added the block to the carb end?

Dont think Id be bothered finishing/fixing it.
