Should have introduced yourself buddy. I had a great time! I am so stoked right now. Got home about five minutes ago after picking up my interior. Sorry for stealing the thread, but I just got a boss kit, new steering wheel, velour trimmed seats, velour headlining, velour door trims, all the little pillar trims, kick panels etc etc for $200 in perfect showcar condition, i am SO STOKED.

Nice meeting you all, congratulations for all the good timeslips etc. We have to host another one that everyone can make it to in the next 2-3 years. Way too good to miss!

What a day today turned out to be, got there about 11.00am and had a magic fun day.. The turn out was quite good and was also good to catch up with some forum members..

There was some fast cars and some nice torrys.

TORANR AMORE'S LX ran a 13.79@100mph best wich is his personal best from 14.3 a few weeks back..He was also in the burnout comp and put up a decent show...All that hard work me and him put into his car to get it there paid off well, Ricks one very happy man with todays results..

My other mate Mark ran a 13.01@102mph in his VL Turbo calais with heaps of wheelspin..My Bro in Law Mick ran a 15.2 in his VN SS wich was ok for a stock car..

Well Done GMH-TORANA.COM and Thanks to Tiny for all the energy he put into this event.

Oh and Heath mate that was a wicked stunnt you did at the top of that dirt mound, lol hahahhahahahhaha was like the BAROCCA TV add...hahahahahh clasic stuff

Big THANK YOU to Tiny and everyone that helped orginize the drags to make it such a fun day :spoton: :spoton: everything ran very smoothly and you all deserve a big pat on the back for all the effort that went into it !!!!!!

On a personal note I'm rapt at the new fastest 1/4 mile time for my car, 12.49 at 108mph (pretty happy as the car has 3.00 diff gears in it :spoton: )

Great day!!! Enjoyed it very much. Cant wait for the next one.
Unfortunatly the gtr was having little problems with the new motor, and
breaking an axle in the semi-final sucked. All easy fixed.

Thanks to everyone who was involved, great turn out.

What an awesome day it was, one of the best car things I've been to. Well done to Tiny and associates for organising and running this day, AFAIK it ran very smoothly. Also was great to catch up with members here I've already met and to also meet some more to put names to faces, I know I missed a few so apologise for that.

Personally was a great day for my LJ, went there with the aim of lowering its previous PB of 15.27 and to hopefully sneak into a 14s run. The first pass was a 15.25, following this run was a couple of similar times (within a tenth) that had slight wheelspin and not perfect gearchanges, then came a 15.04 which was very close to the target time. Straight after that a 14.995 was done, so the mission was achieved there. Of the 3 final runs for the day it got 14.91 twice...

Anyways, can't wait to see more pics from the 'wash-up' of the day. :spoton:

Unfortunantly I had a 6.00AM appointment with my specialist yesterday morning. The fact I left there at 8.15 AM wasn't the problem. The fact that he ordered me to rest was. Otherwise I would have made it. Fingers crossed for next time.

Hey all,

All i can say is im glad i took the eh up there, it was very unexpected and last minute decision, and well even tho she played up on the way there, i cant believe how well she ran during the main day.

After starting off with full street trim, i was only doing 17's and my best time previous was a 16.7. so i was dying to beat it, or come close. So off came my little section of exhaust pipe and straight out and i did a 16.5!!! so that made me happy, but i still wasnt doing any burnouts so i got brett to change my tyres and out we went and that time they finally smoked.

I never planned to go out on the skid pan, i never thought i could do what i did. But i have to thank my spunky fiancee for helping me while i was out there, i had no idea what to do, and just gave it a go, and i can tell ya, i have the bug now!! i havent been able to get the cheeky grin off my face since!!

So yeah could say i had an awesome day in the end!! Weve only just arrived home now (sun) and would u believe it, my car played up on the way home. My dam car is one tempramental cow!!! but atleast she let me give her a good old thrashing!!!

Lushas: im not going to the girls day, no funds, and we are going back up to heathcote this weekend for eastside drag day hopefully in bretts car. So ill be giving it a miss and maybe next time they have one ill go.

Cant wait for another forum drag day!!

Yeah whens the next torry meeting? I went to the drags today and the little bit i saw yesterday was so much better cause they were all torrys, there was only a couple of LJ's today, if i remembered correctly one of the LJ's (a red one, V8) was in the 9's.

I run a PB of 14.7 which I was rapt with :D . I also took my trailer on it's first trip on the back of my tory after it's restoration. Both car and trailer performed perfectly. I was also rapt with the fact that I was part of the first and only ever DEAD HEAT DYO in Heathcote's history. They want me to send in the time slip so they have a record of it. That's one for the pool room.

I wish mine run 9s but it would cost a heap to get it there, plus it would not be very streetable.
