I need some clarification with regards to the Chamois Paint codes.

While I know the exterior code, it's the codes for the paint used on the interior side of the hatch and C Pillars, as well as the rear floor of the hatch. I would assume that the other is for the seat backs, etc.

In the old Dulux Book it lists three different Chamois Paint codes;

Chamois 15950 - Exterior Paint

Chamois 17053

Chamois 17214

any help would be appreciated.

cheers
Mick

Ok
so does your ICI book have a chamois colour for plastic? If we are on the right track, it should be 17053.

I have Covert "trim" codes as 17058, 17212 and 17118.

cheers

still doesn't give a definitive answer as to what paint (code) was used on what in the interior.

the other thing, was 15950 (exterior) paint used on the underside of the hatch, etc???

I know when Graham (LX5008) was doing his car, there were two distinct Tan colours used in the interior

Maybe the A9X guru's might know.

cheers

Thanks Mick.

It's interseting that looking at old pics of the Hatch when we striped it, the chamois paint was used all the way though the interior of the car.
