Yey, my LX has nice shiny new club permit plates on it. So unless I have a major problem it will be there :spoton:

Ok, I will see if the Family want to go for a drive on Sunday, we'll probably meet you all at the Dam as it's closer for us than to go all the way out to Bayswater.
What time can we expect the convoy to arrive at the dam?

Looks great weather wise, hope to see a massive turn out.
Was everyone at the Autobarn store told about this event?
Saw some great looking cars in those pics and would love to see them in the flesh.Cheers,
Dick

Heath, dont worry about the comment. Hopefully i can see your car for the first time.

Pete will be good to finally see your LX on the road!

Ed, hoping to see you there.

Dick at a guess we will be there at approximately 12pm. There are a few people meeting us at the Dam because it is closer for them.
Your family should have a good day there were plenty of kids running around last year.

Hopefully the weather will be good.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Darren

Have to say I was impressed with the turn up and quality of cars at Repco, had a bit of a chat to a few people and enjoyed myself, unfortunately I could not go to Maroondah Dam had to be in Diamond Creek by 11.30 (did not make it). I have decided to buy a Torana LH LX V8 auto maybe an SL in the near future , have to get it passed the handbrake first (I will work on her over the next few weeks)

Well what can I say...what a day!!

A new record was reached with at least 67 toranas (some reporting 70).
This event is always well supported and keeps growing, which is exactly what we want.
It was great to see so many old and new faces.
Top effort for a couple of cars that travelled from as far as Shepparton and even Swan Hill.

We appreciate every single person who brought their torana out today, congratulations on being part of such a huge run!
A huge thanks, it makes the all of the effort worthwhile.

Please feel free to comment on anything that you can see as an improvement to this event for future years.

Regards Darren and the rest of the VIc Torana Club committee.

haha oath it was & thanks guys. I had to pull the car off the road yesterday and I was gonna miss the cruise. What a mistake that would have been! I just pulled it apart straight afterwards instead lol

I had an awesome day, the event ran smooth as a babies arse. The route was grouse, and it was very well organized and great to see so many people there, some that I hadn't seen in about two years.

The quality of the cars was awesome and as others have said there were plenty out there. Biggest bloody Torana event I've ever been to! Congratulations to the club for putting on such a great event. Definately don't wanna miss it next year, I think Darren wants another record hehe

Cheers

Head gasket took a little longer than planned and when the car was just about ready, we weren't happy with how we had set the rockers up. So the smart thing to do was just park it and re do rockers this week instead of getting carried away and damaging something!
Great shots really wish i could have made this one :)
Next event FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!
