hi, this is my Eh i picked up awhile ago.
I know its not a torana but everyone else seems to post up theyre non-torry cars so i thort why not :D .
i picked her up for next to nothing about 3 years ago and shes just been sittin in the yard, finally decided to do something about it :spoton:

wanted to do her up for a first car but will be too much work and would be scared to crash it :<_<: .
It'll be drag only
shes got rust comin up in nearly every panel, just gonna cut it out and bog it up for the time being.

Its gonna cop a red 202.
Lots of hand me downs from my dad's car is gunna be used.
Ive got a solid cam with 550" lift that dad ran a 12.7 with, the webers, the 1 5/8 extractors and lotsa other things.
i have a 9" with a f100 heavy duty housing, 4.56 full spool, 28 spline moser axles on their way. All the good stuff, dont want to stuff around with borgwarners after watching dad blow up gear sets.

Gearbox will be either a Supra or Celica 5 speed, havent found one yet, anyone willing to sell me a complete conversion kit?

I am hoping to get it all finished and ready to race by 19th of September for the 6 Banger Nats at warrick.

---------------------------------------

Its gonna get the same paint scheme as the FJ in the picture, but i need a new name, i need your opinions.
seeing as dad got Green's Nice from Running on Empty ( lovee that movie aye) i was thinking of other 1 liners from the movie.

i came up with : Motor Magic, Green's Nice #2 & even 'Running on Empty'
i'd be happy to hear what you think.

cheers kevin

Why not get the old man to help you out & get it ready for the August Nostalgia meeting.

Or is he scared you'll kick his butt?

No Save it for Warwick then kick his butt, let him have his gloy first at the nostalgias..

Good looking project, hope it works out in time for Warwick, keep the hotwires they suit it..

Times?

a storm hit warrick not long ago and the 60' foot timer wasnt working.
it ran 8.9 with maybe a 2.4 or 2.5 60 foot (diff ratio is that far out), crossed the line at 6000 revs in second gear haha.
ill put a vid up on youtube so you can see.
9 inch has 4.56 gears so that should wake it up.

FastEH, yer i think it is, but idk im no expert, its pretty farked tho, got heaps of cracks through it.

it made 231 rwhp on pump fuel which surprised me.

All you need to make it perfect now is correct axle placement.

If you go onto MCDonald Bros Racing website and look under customers cars, there is a EH drag/hotrod ute being built.
Will be an awesomw looking ride when its finished.

Driving it will be easy........

1.Rev it till the valves bounce.Posted Image
2.Sidestep the clutch.Posted Image
3.Smash another gear everytime you hear the valves bounce again.Posted Image

4.Brake when you see the win light.Posted Image

and remember,

never ever lift your right foot from the floor untill you are through the traps.Posted Image

sort of,
its actually a 265 dizzy, i got a mate to machine the bottom half of the body up to the specs of the holden dizzy, i used the holden shaft instead of redrilling the 265 one and used the 265 top bit on top of the holden shaft. everything else just bolts in from there.

i think im having troubles with points bouncing and we've tested this type of dizzy to 8200rpm so should be all good.

well went racing tonight there was good and bad,
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=PJ4J5Xq7IOk
did a 13.2 off the trailer, and with improvements very well could have dipped into the 12's but then this happened.....

you can see a hole where the 3.3 is too hehe.
doesnt quite compare to drag lc's but i think i did a bloody good job at it.
lesson learnt, use arp rod bolts, dont use repower pistons even if theyre free and use an external pickup.
