Hi All,
September 20 is out for me and a lot of the VTC guys as we're going to Toransfest.
Hopefully it can be held on another Sunday as it would be great to meet other GMH-Torana forum members in person...

October is normally a pretty boring time of year... No Footy, no Cricket.... Normally just "spring carnival" and that just gives me the shits! LOL.
So something to look forward to in October wouldn't bother me either. And if it means more Torries, then that's great!
Also, when is the first Knox Cruise Night? we could do a flyer drop to all the Torana's there, if its on the week before.

Hmmm, could be possible, but that would make for a long day!
Although that graffiti wall i got the pics for mine and Maddy's SM pics, is only just up the road from Autobarn.
I reckon, we make another day for the photoshoot thing Heath... More cruises are always better than just one!

Sounds awesome.

Ok, I was starting to lean towards Oct 11th, but thought I should verify some dates first, and it turns out Bathurst is the 11th, not the 4th! So there is no way we can have it that day.
So it leaves us to choose between:
Sep 20th - the Toranafest date - not preferred due to a few Vics missing out;
or
Oct 4th - So far this only clashes with the Deni Ute Muster.
PS. Deb said if we run this, we are really required to hang around until probably at least 2pm. We are putting on a car show for Autobarn after-all, so we can't really leave at 12 to go cruising and have an early BBQ - this would be around the peak of the day.
If people are happy to do a mid arvo cruise and late BBQ lunch, that's still cool. But our commitment would be to maintain the car show from 9am onwards until around 2:00pm. Remember Bunnings have their sausage sizzle, so you can have a snag to avoid starving. Is 2:00pm too late to leave, cruise and find a park for a BBQ lunch, at say 2:30 - 3:00pm?
What are people's thoughts now? Both for the date choice, and the cruise/BBQ situation?

2pm isn't really that late anyway! Time will fly anyway, walking around talking shit with each other....

The Torana rainbow will KICK SOME SERIOUS ASS!!!! You'll have to send the photos in to street Machine too.
I'm thinking that we keep this day as just a display day and casual get-together / catchup / talk sh*t day!
Once Summer kicks in, then we can do the photoshoot / cruise / BBQ lunch idea. (Sometime between Dec and Feb maybe)?

I will speak to my boss this weekend about the date, and see if its sweet to lock in. soon as i know ill get the ball rolling and get him to make up a flyer.
Autobarn normally do one so they can email out to all there customers etc to let them know there will be a car show. Hopefully he can throw in a discount for you guys to shop on the day also. This normally comes with the flyer ill see what he says.
Once the dates locked in if you can just start a list and keep adding to it, easier to see whos coming and i can keep updating work with how many to expect. If it turns out big im sure they will do some prizes for best cars etc, but if its just a small group probably not.

Looks like il be out with a torana, decided to retire the hatch for a long while, but if we get another one happenin by then well cruise down possibly!
