Hey Skap,

Not sure if you know this or not, but i have to scan a lot of manuals at work, and I always OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Scan them in Adobe Acrobat. It takes a while, but its all automatic.

It basically roughly deciphers all the text, so if you want you can just use the find function to quickly find what your looking for.

The best thing about this feature, is that it rotates ands squares up all the pages, so it then looks like you have scanned everything perfectly square! HAHA!

I have done it to the LH Parts Manual I downloaded, but i got no idea how to upload it and show ya (Its pretty big)

Document > OCR Text Recognition > Recognise Text using OCR...

Just run that if you have Acrobat (Adobe Reader can't do it)

Yeah I have heard of that... I did all these a while ago on a shitty little flat bed scanner, hence the quality and time taken !!

I have a new massive printer thing at work now which can do it far quicker, but I would have to pull the manuals apart so they could go through the sheet feeders... or lay each page down one by one onto the glass... I may get interested, but would probably have to sell a few on ebay to cover my time...!

All i have is what is listed in the post.... Rather bloody busy at work at the moment, so not a lot of time to spend scanning !! but if there were no objections on here I would happily do it knowing ebay would subsidise my time at $10 a pop... of course they would be added free of charge to forum members. give me some time though..

any objections ??
