hi ben,
hows your car going? yeah as above but i think there is a more accurate way measuring the actual fuel level in float bowl but as above will be fine.

hey fella the car is going alright but moving very slowly. cant get these webers to idle. its hunting revs as if it has a vacuum leak but i realy dont think it has one. what would cause this other than a vacuum leak? i was thinking maybe if the fuel bowls are flooding it could but i still dont know where they should be. what would i use on that chart? or what have you got yours set at hayden?

hi Ben from memory mine are set at around 7.5 buy ultering the float level also has some bearing to when the mains com on. but hunting ours hasnt done that that i can recall but does it do it badly how many rpm variance ? maybe way to rich? is the bowl breathers wet with fuel?.

well it will idle fine but when you give it a bit of throttle the revs will hang up around 2 to 2500 it comes down eventually if you let it. ill go through the idle mixture stuff again see if i muffed up somewhere.. i think the oxygen sensor might have burnt out on my afr gauge but it was just registering on the lean side so either really lean or it was just buggered. no matter just ordered my innovate jobi i just got the db gauge, but i can hook it up to my i phone and record it and stuff pretty kooo. nah not realy i thought the middle one might but it was just coz i left the fuel hose a little loose. haha

anyone know some weber gurus in perth??

I've never played with triple DCOE's, BBUUUTTT

My old Kawasaki ZZR 600 used to do the same thing (four carbies).

I brought a PROPER balancing tool, balanced the carbies, wala, fixed.

Cheers.

im not sure how long it takes to come back to normal revs from 2000-2500 for you, but the old mans fj does the same thing, sits at 2500 for 4 or 5 secs then back to around 1800, ive seen a few do the same.

what about the rotary boys? surely theyd know

yeah some times ours does that i thought it was the butterflys sticking in body but have never really looked into it as it hardly ever does it anymore.

what sort of inovate afr gauge did you order ben? the old boy has just come back from the usa and i now have a new lm-2 witch im going to try soon.

well i wish it where only seldom in my case its a pain in the ass! its definantly not a butterfly sticking i did have that to begin with but ive nipped that in the bum now.

i havent hit up the rotor boys yet but i have been put onto the local escort loving guys becuase most of the rotor guys have changed to the weber efi style stuff.

this is the gauge i got http://www.innovatem...products/db.php
its the real basic one because you can plug it into your i phone to do the rest of the stuff you do on the lm1 im pretty sure. will have to look into it a little bit more when i get the thing on the car.

cheers
ben
