put retractables in my lh. used hj-hz rear selt belts.
the belts have to go over the passengers collar bone and not around their neck! so they ended up very close to the pillars therefore i couldn't use the reel covers but after i've tinted the windows, no-one will notice.(plus they match the front ones that have no cover on them anyway!)
engineer said to use a 3"x 2" 3mm plate with captive(welded)nut on the underside of the parcel shelf between the inner gaurd and the boot hinge. this can be held on with epoxy or silastic as once its done up it wont move.
the hardest part was trying to find a drilling combination to drill the holes.(if you have the rear screen out i dont think this would be a hassle).
i had the rear screen in so used a right angle drill with this drill bit
mark the centre of your 3x2 plate.
drill out plate and weld nut to plate.
remove the rear seat.
remove speakers, parcel shelf and underfelt.
empty the boot.
Contortionist time...no 1
get in the boot and using your 2x3 plate as a template, push it into the corner made by the inner gaurd and back seat panel(remember, you need it as close to the pillar so that the belt goes over your passengers shoulder and not around their neck) mark the hole.
with your right angle drill , drill through the parcel shelf from below(the screen is in the way from above).
do the same on the other side.
put some white paint on the locating lug at the front of the reels and dummy fit them so you have a second drilling point.
remove reels and drill locating hole from top using right angled drill.
refit parcel shelf and mark holes to be drilled.
remove parcel shelf and drill holes in it.
refit underfelt and parcel shelf.
contortionist time...no 2 (WORSE)
put reel and bolt in
get in boot
cover the underside of your plate with silastic or epoxy and offer it up to the bolt((if you can get someone to help here it makes life a lot easier)if you've got speaker holes it makes it a little easier))tighten the bolt.
to tighten the bolt, (i used a ratchet with a uni joint on the socket.window gets in the way) pull the belt all the way out so the socket fits on the bolt,(you'll see what i mean)... tighten.
release belt.
refit seat back
fit seatbelt buckles
refit seat base
check operation
refit speakers.
a pain in the arse job, but to know your kids are safe....
