LC Engine Mounts

And which one goes at the front and which one at the back of the lower mount?
Went to fit the shifter back into my car today and the thing wouldn't fit. Was hitting on the drivers side floor so it looks like the engine isn't aligned in the car properly.
Thought I marked them when removed but must have made a mistake.
Can someone let me know.
Thanks.

Another question. There is a spacer block (about 1" thick) fitted between the gearbox mount and gearbox crossmember. Is this correct for M20?

there is a plate that goes under the crossmember between it and the bolt heads but it is only about 3/8" thick

In the LJ one it shows the spacers fitted to the outer bolts of the cross member and a load spreader fitted to the centre. This is the three speed manual.
The M20 diagram shows the large centre spacer, the outer spacers and a load spreader. This is the set up I have but I am missing the load spreader plate.
Could someone with a LC/LJ with 6cyl and M20/21 please confirm that the above picture is what they are using.
Thanks.

The middle one is correct for the Aussie 4 Speed. The bottom one is left hand drive export model ie Opel. Look at the mounting block in the 1st and last picture.

This is the problem of using the term 'M20'. Both the Aussie 4-speed & the Opel box are called M20.

Thanks guys. The 1" thick spacer must be left over from when my XU1 had the Opel in it.
That is correct. The thick spacer is needed with the opel box. This photo is of the spacer kit needed for the opel.

So I was digging around up in the mezzanine today and found that I have 2 crossmembers.
I know which one is original to my car but on the other one, the plane where the g/box mount bolts on is about 20 - 25mm lower?
Would this be Opel?

LC and 1st type LJ 6cyl transmission support members were the same for Opel M20, Aussie M20, M15 three speed and M40 Tri-matic. just one extra spacer and the actual rubber mount differed for Opel.

Sounds like it might be one of the very early crossmembers. Is it a sort of shallow V shape? Seems they were used for the first few months of production before they reverted to using the same crossmember for all versions (3 spd, 4 spd, auto) with just different mounting spacers.

It's pretty much the same shape as my original 72 LJ one except the plane where the g/box mount goes is 6mm lower.
