Howdy,

Well, its not long now, actually it is this weekend (16th & 17th Jan), so if you are thinking about going to Ballina for the Show and Shine hosted by North Coast Street Machines it is not too late to book a room at the hotel and join us. There are still rooms available (I booked mine today) at a reasonable price ($99 for a standard room). Please email ([email protected]) or phone me (0410 032 727) for hotel details and a contact number.

The car show is on Sunday at the Ballina Rugby League Grounds and is $5 pp or $12 per family to enter. The show starts at 9am. There is also a cruise on for all car show attendees and visitors on Saturday arvo (leaves the rugby grounds at Ballina at 4:30pm). Aside from the show and cruise the weekend is a great opportunity to have a beer or two with fellow Torana nuts and just kick back and relax.

For those who are going we (the QTCC) will be meeting as a club at the Shell/Hungry Jacks Mudgeeraba on Saturday morning at 8:30am for a 9am departure. The service centre is located between Gooding Drive exit and Robina Town Centre Drive exit on the M1.

Of course if you want to make your own way down that is ok, however travelling in a pack down the Pacific Highway would be way cooler !!

Speaking of travelling down, if anyone has a vacant passenger seat and doesnt mind a bit of company and someone to chip in for fuel I am looking to hitch a ride from Mudgeeraba onwards. I could go down in the Echo but I would rather have some one to talk to and more importantly I would rather travel in style, not fuel efficient air conditioned comfort. Let me know via phone/sms (0410 032 727) or email if you have a spare seat.

If you are going could you please reply to this post and let me know so that I have an idea of numbers and who to look out for.

For more information, please see the North Coast Street Machines website HERE

Hope to see you there !!

Stay Cool,

Tony

QTCC President

Mostly Torana's but I've thrown in a few others as well. More are in my photobucket album HERE

QTCC Members Cars to begin with....

For some silly reason a promo girl always seems to wander into my photos.

^ Its owner had a big grin too, likewise the dodgy tool taking the photo :D I asked her to do a bonnet shot but it was too hot for her. I suggested cooling the bonnet down with a can of XXXX but thought better of wasting a cold beverage.

More photos.... OPT's (Other peoples Torana's).

I was through Ballina on the weekend on the way to QLD and saw a lot of these cars when they were leaving.

That LJ with the vinyl roof was really unusual. Obviously a special order with the tan roof/tan interior.

I was in my SP23 amongst a group of cars from Ballina to the border which included that 774DOR sedan. Had the window down listening and it sounded tough.

Wish I had of realised it was on so I could have left Sydney earlier and had a chance for a look.

I'll be at Southport on Friday night with my brother and his ex-RDP LJ, and with another guy with his completely insane blown Corolla wagon. There's some place up there that everyone hangs out at on a Friday night??

^ as Kev says, the Burger joint on Ferry rd is gaining momentum. I heard they had about 60-80 cars there last friday night. And yeah, Andrews 774DOR is a beast hey. Im not sure if he was in a group with the other QTCC cars. We left early in the green hatch so I was about and hour in front of the main mob.

Anyway, a few more photos for ya's - Non Toranas this time
