slr dash speedo max 160kph?

I have an slr dash and was going to sell it but noticed the speedo only goes to 160kph,, is this likely a modified dash where an lx speeod has been installed or did some slr/ss torries come with speedo at 16o? the dash writing is all in white too.

Sounds like an LH SL speedo to me.

Put a L34 speedo in as i have seen them with 300 kph speedos

You mean its got a tacho & 4 guages but it only got 160kph speedo?
if thats the case I think that the 200kph speedao must have gone faulty and was replaced at some stage.

I thought the 160kph speedo only came on the dash with the clock and single fuel guage(S, SL)

Gpak clusters where same as SLR clusters 4 gauges, tacho & 200kph speedo.

White needles LH
Yellow needles LX

I need the 4 gauges to complete one that i have NOS ( i have a NOS Tacho, NOS Speedo, NOS Housing, NOS Lenses ) but i need the 4 gauges
i know i'm not gona get them NOS.

or has anyone got one, they don't need?

Do you just mean the guages mechanisms and needles? If so just get four fuel guages out of S's or SL's, don't cut up a good SL/R cluster just so you have a 'NOS' one, that would be such a waste

Why not to get a great one.
Sometimes you have to use two average things to make a great thing!
If i used fuel gauges, Where do you get the fascia???

Re: the fascia, that's what I wanted to know, whether your 'housing' included that. I just hate seeing rare things being sacrificed, like LX hatch donor shells ARGH

So yeah unless a repro fascia is available, fair enough

I used to have a dash like that in one of my old torries. It was a 74 LH with yellow needles exactly the same as an SLR dash but the speedo only went to 160. The speedo didnt look any different shade of yellow , it looked like it came out that way. Yeah i know yellow is LX but just stating what was in it

My old SS speedo went up to 200 Km/H. However, I could only get the needle to point too 185 Km/H ,

Those speedo are interchangeable maybe the original speedo has been change , Seen many SL/R dashes on EBay with 160 Km/H speedo .
They do seize up .
