I'm having issues with the handbrake on the commodore (VY Series 2 SS)
I have adjusted it several times by the adjuster nut on the lever, which is fine for a few days, but then it seems to go back to where it was...? It is so loose now, that it won't hold the car on a hill, and the adjuster nut is almost all the way down.
I never had an issue with my VT, but I know that my Sisters VY has to get adjusted all the time when it get's serviced.
Is there some 'trick' to adjusting it? Is there some auto adjust mechanism somewhere that might be playing up?

If it's the same as earlier Commodore, back off the cable, adjust the handbrake shoes (they're inside the discs) and re-adjust the cable.

Cause once you take the discs off and adjust it properly with the wheels inside
Then you'll have the shoe too close to the disc and it will swish on the shoes and annoy the shit out of you

Did the adjustment today... No swishing noise 'yet'!
... Still don't understand why when I adjusted last time it was OK one day, no good the next...?
Is there supposed to be some sort of locking, or 'clicking' to adjust? When I adjusted it it just turned 'relatively' freely.... is it possible it could wind itself back in?

Hand brake is working OK now, So I'll see how it goes... Towing the car trailer on the weekend - don't really want to be doing any hill starts with a trailer & no handbrake!
