Yes they should self cancel.

There's a round plastic bit (cancellator? not the best description, I know) that screws to the back of the steering wheel. Guessing yours is either broken or possibly on the wrong way, which I have done before...

It's in between the blinker switch and the back of the steering wheel.

Held on by 2 screws. It's easy to see, just take the wheel off.

na it screws onto the back of your steering wheel and has two knobs which hit springs to cancel the indicators. it can screw on to the back of aftermarket ones too.

The small torsion spring that is mounted to plastic housing is the part that provides the self cancellation. However you should have a second one directly below that spring on the bottom side. By looking at the picture you should have self cancellation on left turns but not right. If you don't there is another problem. Probably you are missing the plastic peice on the steering wheel boss which has the tabs on it that work against the torsion springs.
Hope this makes sense.

sweet , i will hunt down another spring . after looking at the boss kit it has two humps wich i take it are the cancelation humps , i think the main problem was the boss kit was on uside down .those lumps were on the left hand side not the right where the spring is located

The black piece with the metal ring and two screws is the thing I meant.

It could be on the wrong way, easy enough to do.

makes sence , there is an arrow on the top of the boss kit that i take it is supose to be on the top which puts the bumps on the wrong side
will change it around and see what happens
