I want to run HQ pattern wheels on the rear of my LH (standard banjo), there's a shop here that will redrill my axles and drums, my question is before i start taking things apart, is it pretty straight forward?, anything i should/shouldn't do?
Basically i just remove the wheels, drums, few other bolts and the axles should slide out yeah?
Cheers

Doesn't hurt to put a bit of grease on the wheel bearings but really as long as you give everything a squirt of oil as you put it together, and roll around a low speed a bit before driving normally, I don't see why there would be any problem.

Soke it in weezel piss and let is sit over night. Then attach the wheel loosely and try and pull it off that way using the wheel as a puller.

I put the cog on the bolt and then the threaded part of the bolt thru the axle flange, washer behind and put the nut on. Then bust a nut sliding the cog with force to pull out the axle.
I'm a big guy and over the years I've encountered some bloody tough axles to pull with there being nothing wrong with the centre. Just persist, brute force will prevail!
