Just wondered who is going to be at the Island next weekend for the Historic meet, either competing or looking or whatever.
They are expecting a huge entry list in all events. Obviously my favourite classes are Group N (XU1) and Group C (L34 / A9X) but there are plenty of other interesting classes as well.

I'm planning on being there Sat and Sunday.

What a great weekend, although I'm stuffed now...
Some great cars on display, both officially and in the carpark, great racing on the track, plenty of noise - it was all good.

Great day, some v-e-r-y nice pre war Alfas there P3, 159 that Fangio drove, I believe an 8C, 1750 and more, definatly the highlight, also Aston Martin DB3S, Ferrari 166, 4 turbo F1s, Bugatti Type 35, Masarati 300S, Lancia Stratos, etc. Still my favourite motoring event it's really the only event we have where true exotics are shown and raced.

This is a great event which I would highly recommend.

F5000 & a picturesque location makes a great combo.


Plenty of Toranas, racing & on display.

Over twenty-four hours since an F-5000 pics went up and no word from Rory. Can someone check he is okay!!

Did no-one get pics of a certain forum members car?? What I have seen (I will not take the liberty of posting without permission) it was gorgeously turned out, and apparently liked it's laps alot.

Took my 56 Chevy down Friday night with a couple of few mates in a 57 Chev convertible and a 60 Caddy limo. Top weekend again and the weather was a whole lot kinder than last year.

cheers for putting up that pic of saggy, as you can see its now painted all over pretty much in the '83 bruce watt livery with the drivers side roof showing all the old colours.

got in 4 laps on the saturday and 4 on the sunday , following the matich SR4 around. talk about a fast accelerating race car !!
