G/day All.

Read a post recently about someone needing parts to repair their LJ wiper washer pump but I can't find the thread.
So thought I'd start one on converting the pump to electric.
Here's one I did earlier, 25 years earlier.

Bugger, what happened to all my Photobucket pics?

This pump/switch now contains a push type switch which operates the windscreen washer bottle & pump motor from a HX Holden.

I used a wiper switch from a Kingswood in my LC to operate the washer bottle pump. The switch came from a HK-G model Kingswood, so the switch doesn't look out of place at all. The only mods needed for this is to run two wires from under the dash to the washer bottle.

I done a similar thing but to keep things looking original, i.e hose running into cab, then hose running from cab to squirter I used an aftermarket inline pump.

This is mounted under the dash and until you operate the switch everything looks factory. All good until the pump or hose fails and dumps the contents of the bottle on your floor!

Another thing I done was use a small round pushbutton and mounted it inside the original switch where the pump unit normally sits. The wires for the pump actully come out of the water inlet/outlet of the switch.

I should get some pics up, a picture tells a thousand words.

Think I've finally got this photobucket thing worked out. Sorry the pics are a bit out of focus, my camera doesn't do good close ups.

Here is the pump switch and you can see the switch spade connectors.

Had to rebate the end plate 1.2mm with the Dremel to accommodate the switch.
