I spent years trying to do the same thing. In the end I have a very simple looking black fabricated panel with hidden circle LEDs. Now its the toughest looking one on the road. Very suitable and very modern looking.

If it wasn't obvious, I was talking about the tail lights.

rodomo - hahaha : )

I still think the best lights in a UC are LX ones. I've even seen a UC years ago with R33 skyline tail lights. Didn't look as bad as it sounds, but who the hell wants their torana to look like a datsun?????? : )

I think UC's have one of the toughest looks to them if they are done right like the pic above.

I think the only way to make it look right, is to do the LH/LX conversion. UC taillights just seem wrong. Don't suit the shape of the car. I'm converting mine.

I don't necessarily agree. I don't really dig them in standard form either but there are definitely a few ways to make them look pretty neat. Nathan's looks good in my opinion with the chrome SL trim surrounding it and the blacked out arse.

But there are plenty of other options that could look good, the main problem is that most people are too lazy to try things.

That doesn't look half bad for a UC! i actually don't mind the UC sedan rear end but a hatch looks ugly with those taillights on it..the front end of a UC looks like a cross between a camira and a commodore though lol!! not one of Mr GMH's finest designs..

57 Chev Bel Air tail lights would look good. And you would be keeping to GM parts..

Nathan, you should get a big chunky number plate surround for your rear plate... It will make the tail lights look even less bug-eyed, I reckon you have done a great job so far...

UC tail lights...... you can't improve on perfection LMAO. but seriously tinting does improve the look a bit.

Also I reckon the front end looks a bit like a baby WB :dontknow: any thoughts??

hahahah, I like that. Very funny.

I guess the UC front is a bit like a WB, as they're both ugly Posted Image

I think the perfect tail lights for a UC are whatever the owner wants. I still don't understand why the indicators are next to the number plate. Weird????
