Congratulations to all involved in this project, from start to finish you should all be proud of what you have achieved.

I only wish we had something like this at high school when I was going to school, I would have stayed and finish my senior instead of dropping out in grade 10.

I wish you luck with the test and tune and hope you get the times you are aiming for.

Once again a big thumbs up and a huge pat on the back for everyone.

Dads driving. The 10 kids who have been there throughout the whole thing will be travelling in the schools bus which is towing the car. The rest of the auto kids will be coming on a coach a bit later along with the principal and other teachers :)

What a day! Had a full on day from 12pm yesterday with ABC news, photographers for magazines and newspapers out interviewing the teachers a kids. The amount of people who came out to support the car was incredible and the kids where absolutely stoked at the comments about the quality of their car.

We had a small issue with a trans leak on the first run and got pushed away after the warm up burnout. Managed to get back out fairly quickly and had a fairly quick run through first and second but had an issue getting it changing into 3rd and it ran a 15.1@68mph (massive back off).

We put the car on stands and had a run through the gears while Vince Rigoli and Manuel from EMS went through the tune and cpu set up but everything was saying it was fine and there was no obvious issue in the cpu or tune.

We went back out and had another run, trying to back off so it would change to third but no dice.
Comparing time slips with a similar set up car, the first 330 feet, the car was on track for an easy 12 second pass but unfortunately, THATS RACING!

Currently in talks with sponsors about the next step so will keep you updated.

The spirits of sponsors, staff and students were still high even with the issues. Its all part of the game and we will be back bigger and better!

Not sure if anyone was out at the v8 supercars in homebush, but they may have seen the ute in the armor all show and shine all weekend.

What was completely unexpected was the car took out the 'Outstanding Engineering' award for the show, which amongst the quality of cars in the arena is a massive honour. To recieve this award is huge achievement and recognition of our project.

So bit of an update.

Had a bit of a run around with the box. Had a t400 organised, but sponsors fell through so started selling bits and pieces to fund the box build.

Been developing a good friendship with Speed for Sale, who were kind enough to donate a 4l60e with 4500 converter, which he organised to be built by Craigs Automatics. Great blokes!!

Also, fitted up the nitrous kit supplied from Michael from Speed for Sale.

MASSIVE UPDATE TIME!!

The car is finally together and working as it should! Craigs Automatics came through and built an awesome heavy duty box with a 4500 stall. This relationship couldnt have happened without Michael from Speed for Sale.

The car is proudly showcasing new sponsors and it has even seen some track time!

We had our first day out on Sunday the 31st. 2 full runs with 13.1@105mph. 3rd run we had a bit of trouble and smashed an axle. No worries, Jason from Gear Exchange Services hooked us up with new set of billet axles to get it going again!

Went out racing last night and managed the quickest time so far.

ET 12.5 and managed a 108mph. Also sporting an impressive 1.6 60ft. More practice should see the car down in the low 12s before too long!
