Hi

I am painting an LJ grille that has been previously done badly. I am trying to establish whether the black stops at the edge of the raised part or goes into the recess.

I hope the attached picture explains my question.

Cheers

Hi

This is what I am trying to establish. Does the black extend to the edge of the recess or into it?

Cheers

im confused, the way i saw the first picture i thought you were referring to the actual slotted part of the grill if thats not the case dont take notice of my thoughts because the outer section is not black like marks its just silver. only the slotted part is black

Hi

Yep that right the grille part is black the rest is silver. My first picture was pointing out the 'ditch' where the silver meets the black. The question is "Does the black extend into the 'ditch' or is the 'ditch' silver?"

Mine is the same as Judge's and to my knowledge its the original grill.

I can make a call tomorrow to an XU1 owner if you like

Hi

We may have another one of those Adelaide/Brisbane anomalies. You would think that the correct answer would be relative to the difficulty in masking each option.

Hi Bazza
I took notice of this when I restored my grill and took pics before I rubbed it back and have them on my computer at home which was fryed the other week by a storm.I do remember that that black did end on the grill and there was silver in the ditch.
hope this helps
cheers Dane
