yeh i,m farely close to carroll,

one of my first finds was there,it was a fj holden sedan, painted blue, very faided, and i wish i got a picture, they had the rear wheel off it,a belt pully arrangement, which ran a wood saw with a very big ugly blade, $50 for the car 14 years ago, that town is great, everything is for sale, its like a swap meet all year around.

keep in mind everybody there is still great finds out there sometimes you just gotta go down a deadend street in your own suburb to find a bargain to had. Or any street at any given time like not far from my work i come across 3 hr,s holden sedans in someones front yard could,nt beleive it but hey that,s luck for ya , my dad used to have this phiolloshy and it goes like this if my dad spotted a car in someones yard and there was long grass growing up around it or cob webs on it it was for sale unless they had a sign on it saying not for sale cheers all

just rang old mate with all the stuff,

and he talked my ears off, told me all the stories of cars he,s had, bla, bla, bla, but what about whats still there?10 more stories he,s a real character,

anyways he says there are a few torana,s and hk,ts,he has to watch his young fellars ,they like to make MUDBOMBS,they get the cars and trash them around the paddocks, tip them on there roofs and drag them down the road with other cars to watch the sparks fly off them, then set them on fire, good dintless cars trashed and destroyed,he has heaps of red 6,s and 8,s,and piles of parts.

so i must get back soon.

these old FE,s were a good find,

in shed for 20 years, and they both ran like clocks, drove them on the trailer, with a bit of fresh fuel and battery.
one was a special sedan the other a ute.

Are those FE's for sale?

Might know a few guys who would be very interested in them.

If you get me the plate details, chassis and engine numbers then I can decode it for you and see if its all matching. Its reasonably unusual to find cars with the factory fitted engines as lots were replaced with exchange reco replacements.

The sedan looks like its the first version of Corsair Tan. My FC's flash colour is the later version.

By the way, I love this thread. I can't believe all this stuff is still out there, especially considering the scrap metal drive from a few years back.
