DONT TAKE OUR CARS, YA BASTARD!!!!
Sorry....... I read that the wrong way around.
Why would you want a kiwi car?? It will probably have kiwi germs on it

Kiwi germs are like cooties and nothing cures cooties. If you get the disease, you will never be able to pronounce your "I's and E's" correctly ever again!

yeah got a couple back. No real tricks, if you have your approval already all you need to do is get it here. You will pay GST on the cost of the car plus the cost of the shipping. You will have to get customs to steam clean it when it arrives... regardless of how clean it is about $450. Depending how much the car is worth you may also incur Luxury car tax, so be creative with your receipt of purchase. Not saying I have done it, but would be wise to produce 2 receipts, one for the actual amount, and one for a vastly lower amount that you then send to customs to be taxed on... good aussie dollar at the moment, so should be reasonably priced to get it here, though not sure about perth, whether they land it on the east coast and truck it or sail direct ?

if you can prove you owned it for a period in nz (rego rec/speeding fines etc)
i think they exempt you from duty/gst
but don't quote me on that

Thanks for that. The cars you brang back have a current WOF (road worthy) as a few carriers stated this as a requirement. Mine should pass but it means I have to fly home and sort it out.
Cheers
