WOW.... I dropped the 'F' bomb when I saw the completed pics ^^ there. That is HOT!

Nothing like some tropical fruit and a Torana I say!! ;-)

Great job all round. Well done. And the best part about spending 4 months away from this place is coming back to see finished cars!! :D

Well the owner has been hard at work getting the car all finished and registered. He even drove all the way to my place so I could have a sticky beak.

I'm going to do a pic dump now : )

He took me for a burn in the beast too. The 5 litre and 5 speed combo make for an awesome street car. Plus, damn those seats are comfy!!!!

I absolutely love that car. Nothing like a retro torry that maintains the original stance but has all the modern goodies. Wish my hatch was as nice as that...

I drooled over this car at Big T's wedding cruise but wasn't smart enough to recognise it as the one in this thread.

Very nice

As I (slowly) draw closer to painting my SL/R, I often think about this thread and your painting technique for this car, Tim. I like the idea of 2K in the tricky parts, and acrylic on the outside.

All that sanding and buffing though.... :furious:

I've just spent the last hour and a half reading this thread for the first time..(slack arse me) And i can only say knowing that you have have shown your exceptional talents for fibreglaas and flare fitment your a truely talented craftsman.

With all that effort and realisation just how shit some flare kits can be, Its exactly the reason im not fitting any flares or spoilers to my hatch. Without having the expert hands and mad skillz to correct t he issues that arise with them, people are left in the cold with an ill fitting body kit that ends up looking crap and holes in their panel real-estate

Besides, when i bought my hatch, the panel beater i took along said to me, no one touches these rear guards but me ( he's pretty good, he repairs ferraris for John Cant in brisbane ). But he stipulation was no flares as the the panels are perfect and rust free.. so we want to take advantage of that, combined with a glass finsh, Clear over base empress black 2 pack paint job. ( besides Im a mini-tub man and like my rubber phat on the inside ! )

If i was to get anyone to drill a hole in my panels, i know where im comming.

Cudo's to you tim, Truely top craftsmanship in all aspects, with a high standard of professionalism as well, which im sure alot of trumped up paid painters tradesmen could only wish to aspire too. ! :clappin: :clappin: :clappin:

Those seats are such a good match to the car. They are the same recaro seats you could get on the upgraded Hilux Surf.
