Actually asked about these at rex spares in perth and they said they will be in stock in a few weeks???
I bought this one Posted Image
Which will do i guess, but the one with the H-pattern would be awsome as it helps keep the police off your case.
Apparently its a 'yello sticker' offence to not have a H-pattern...

So, yes they would definately be worth making :)

Is that true Neat LX? When I had my M21, that was the same gear knob that I used. I didn't know that it was illegal to have a gear knob without a H-Pattern. :o

Its illegal to not have any type of H-pattern be it one on a gearknob, or not having a sticker. You must have a sticker that shows your H-pattern on your console or if you dont have a console (ie: a9x) must have it displayed on your gearknob or a sticker on your dash.
Reason : "if there is an emergency, and your car needed to be moved, then it must be displayed so that the person not familiar with the car does not risk injuring others" as quoted by the police officer and vehicle inspection mob here in perth.
Its a fine line i guess, but myself for one have been yellow stickered for this reason. Just got a bad cop on a bad day :( Still ended up costing $50 to take over pits.

Les, have the Gear knobs been released? I see someone selling them on ebay at more than twice the price you posted here and figured they must be new rares ones.
