Same as CHOPPER
EDIT: maybe if there are a few of us from Melb postage would be a little cheaper in one lot?

If you've only got one pair of 235/60's, I'll grab a pair of 275/50's and let ChiaLX have the "little" tyres.

Since I'm heading to Adelaide next month, would the freight be much cheaper if I picked them up from a depot in Adelaide while I'm over there rather than sending them to Melbourne?

Hi guys, priced the freight for the tyres via TNT,
For the 235/60's it will work out to approx $45 for the pair, and the 275/50's $50 a pair. Freight charge to Adelaide or Melbourne is the same.

I have another company to try in the morning, I'll see if they'll do a better deal.

-Dave.

I've got 2 sets of the 235's and 3 of the 275's left.

I'll get that other freight price in the morning. :)

Due to a bit of lateral thinking ( and a bit of good luck ), I've decided to convert all my cars to 16" Ford pattern rims. So now I require a pair of 255/50R16's.

Smart fella right there. Look at 90% of the jap rims and how cheap they are. Most nissans are same pattern

I spent 21 years in the tyre industry, so I know my stuff. There's actually about 6 reasons why I'm converting them all, but that doesn't mean that everybody should copy.

Tiny try pricing them out of Rockets at the moment... Mickey Thompson, since their takeover by Cooper Tires in the US (November last year) they've revised their price structure 3 times. Average costs have gone up 15% in that time.

Heya, The closest I'd be able to source in Mickey Thompson would be a 255/60 R14, in an Indy Profile S/S.

Hardly anyone is making wide tyres in 14" anymore, and with what few stocks are available you'd almost be better off buying a set of 15" rims and saving the $$$ on tyres.

If you want some brand new 245/50 & 265/50 14s then see BoltZ's Eagers in the for sale section. I can verify that these tyres are brand new.

Micksgtr - You should be able to get a BF Goodrich in a 265/50/14 (in theory).
According to their website they are still available.
