Purrlx, the mechanical oil gauge wouldn't fit under the scoop.
Kinda chickened out puting it in the cab.
I shaved the plastic bonnet vent as much as could get away with, so it sit as low as possible.
Was thinking it would blend in once the windsplits go on...

Always liked the vl popeye front :)

But curiosity got the better of me.

The vl bonnet & guards pretty much bilted on, but the top radiator support is different.
I had some scrap alloy plate left over & made 2 extensions to hold the mock panel.

The passenger indicator brow needs alot of work.
The bonnet won't close, maybe you could unbolt & swap the spring lock.
I am now convinced the monza top radiator & headlight panel needs to be replaced with Vl.

Slowly getting there.
Without measuring & knowing the exact numbers,
The vl front seems to blend the larger (monza) windscreen in better.
I think earlier vc/h/k fronts need a bonnet scoop to mask how big the windscreen is.
A walky scoop is on the list, but after side skirts & rear bar

Chasing the "No Spark" injected 304 riddle.
This is my 1st injected holden v8, I'm about 20 to 30 years off the pace :)
(Can't wait to drive it)
Guna start with the easy/cheap stuff 1st.
Praying its not the dizy or ignition module.
Repco quoted me $380 for the module..

these new 17 " V51 are a one Piece rim (like my RS reps)

if they were available 2 years ago I most likey wouldve got them intsead.

ET Zero all round

Looking at the Simmons webpage - the  V5 three piece  only are made in 15 or 16 inchs.

Looks to be about a third the price of the 3 piece ones I priced about a year ago. These are definitely going on the short list.

Reckon it doesn't get much.better than this.
Be scary to even ask for a quote with how low the aussie exchange rate at the moment.
Also the stress of not getting the offset right the 1st time round.
When I ordered the RS reps online the biggest wheel I could find in my budget was 17x10 et 15
Then it took ages to find a set in 5x120.
I didn't know how theyd look as the widest i had ever tried was the C4 salad tosser 16x9.5.
That salad tosser with a 255 tyre hit the rear Lower control arm :(
If I win lotto :) will be calling Ehrlich Wheel works & ordering a set of BBs RS 18x10.5 et Zero or minus 15

In the meantime, probably get the rs rep centre's painted white & call it a day,
Maybe a bigger tire in the rear 275 -295
17 & 18s tires seem more friendly with sizing & pricing.

This was taken when i got the rs reps.(17x10 ET15)
With a 255/ 40 there wasn't alot of clearance from standard front struts.
I ended getting a set of coilovers from a Darwin comy cup racer with some adjustable koni shocks
