Hey guys, I'm looking for any pictures you may have of the door check straps installed on a car. I have all of the bits here but just want to make sure I put everything in the right way.

Thanks

G/day Vic

1st pic is how it installs for Left door.

2nd pic is for Right door.

There are 3 bolt holes in the door frame and the check link can only fit one way in each door.

Cheers

Although this thread was created a long time ago, I fitted one side with the straps however the door still opens too far and can hit the front edge on the A-pillar where the door hinges are. This isn't how they are from the factory I'd imagine.

Do I have the wrong parts?

Also I've noticed that there are some repos selling on EBay for $20 or $30 each or something.Just to let people know that if you wreck out a single bed and use the springs off it they are verchually the same size and length and dose the job just nice.
cheers

Digging up an old thread here.

What do you guys use for the dust cover which fits in where the strap enters the door?

I think it's like a felt or rubber, Can't remember.

Cheers

Marty

Old thread but are these side specific or can they be changed from left to right doors?

One check link assy fits both left and right 2dr doors and 4dr front doors.

4dr rear doors are left and right specific.
