Hi all and wecolm to my project

Car is a lc gtr torana
Slightly modified with roll cage before i got it well put in, ( insurted into the a and b pillers fully weld in to the car unable to remove without destroying the car. )
Was going to be a race car, came from a desead estate.
Engine is no longer a holden 6, Been upgraded to a 2003 r34 neo turbo motor.
Engine is stock internals, std turbo with boost uped to 12 psi
Aftermarket inter cooler and pipe work ( by myself)
3 inch custom made exhaust with 100 cel hiflow cat and hi flow muf (by my self)
Estamated to make 330-350 rwhp
std 5 spped turbo box with custom made t/shaft
Custom made front end and gear box x member (made by my self )
all new bushes and rubber through out
Diff is a 10 bolt salisbuy with 336 lsd gears
4 weel disk brakes Wb front and Vr commodore rear
brake booster is a dubble diafram xu1 booster off set to clear the engine
fuel tank is an alloy xu1 style inlarged to hold 90lt
2 bosh o44 fuel pumps
2lt swurl pot
7/16 fuel lines

Now for the inside
Dash has been changed to lj torana
Dash is a xu1 facier with all aftermarket gages to suit the engine
xu1 steering weel
new carpet ( black )
new aftermarket race seats
Wb retractable seat belts ( by law have to up grade to these )
Roll cage is a 8 point cage with double x in centre main hoop. Fully welded into car arround where the doors open so th doors had to be modified to clear.
rear seat removed for sound system
2 x 6 inch 2x 6x9 and 10inch sub
2x4 chanel amps and cd head set.
hood lineing undesided so far but will be like the late modle cars with cardboard insert. ( black in colour )

Car weas just painted on the week end in cameo gold.
I know it is not the correct styling for an lc gtr but hey this car can never be std so it's a personal thing.

Hope you all like let me know.
Thanks Dave

As you can see the radiator is set back 50mm so the thurmo fan can fit between the radiator and the inter cooler.
Being an lc the grill hides the inter cooler a bit.
Allso i know it might not look too crash hot but i'am fitting a a9x style front spoiler to hide the pipe work for the inter cooler and air pod intake at the front, and i hope it takes you eye's off what lay's beneath.
The best part is it sounds just like a std gtr torana.

All the transport boy say is that the cage is to be bolted in.
In this case i know the cage is welded in but i have also put bolts on it to the body of the car.
This way it makes their requierments of being bolted to the body.

I have never heard that the larger booster gives less brakes, as it is suppose to increase brakeing performans not hinder it.
Thats why they came out on the xu1's

nah i mean in a race they want to glide through long corners not stop really quickly with a big one you stop really quickly but in race cars they use the smaller versions don,t mind me i am full of crap , i will shoot off and do some research cheers billywest

No matestd x member modified to suit the engine, as the rb25 neo engine is differnt to the rb30 so some things are slightly different.

Wow! Awesome. Another RB25DET in a LC. I am currently putting one in mine. Did you end up using any CRS stuff? Engine mounts etc? Or make it all up yourself?

Have you got anymore pictures of engine fitment? Plus if your using the R34 5 Speed where the shifter comes through in the tunnel?

I did use the cae engine mounts but the rest i made myself as i'am a boilermaker by trade. The shifter comes up about 5" further bacf so you have to lousen the bolts for the hand brake leaver and push it to the left on an angle and bent it slightly to clear the shifter.
The tunnel will need to be widen with a hammer where the box hits near the speedo pick up as well.
The lip on the fire wall under the heater box needs to be flatern out and hammered back towards the cabin about 3/4 inch too.
I had to change the shape of the left hand engine mount on the x member too to clear the oil return for the turbo.
i also de liped the x member the same as if you where puttin in a holden v8 and the steering shat will need 2 lh lx steering nuckles in it the same as the chev v8 set up.
If you use the cae sump and pick up you have to hammer down the x member where the supm passes over it on the passenger side too as they sit lower then the holden 6 sump.
The booster has to be off set too to clear the inlet manifold aswell.
Hope this helps you out.
