Finished the exhaust on the week end and drove it out of the shed for the first time.
Desided to see how well it launches and lets just say it was a lot of smoke on not going foward to fast with weel spin MMMMM might have to adjust the length of the trailing arms to get a bit more traction.
Should hear back about the grill and head light surrounds this week. can't wait to put them in and finish the front off.
will up load photo when i do.

took the car out of the shed today to get some sunlight and a few photo's.
Grill is not perfect but untill i get a better one this will have to do.
I know some of you's might not like the front spoiler but it's there to hide the intercooler pipe work.

still have to rub the car with 2000 wet and dry and buff to get the finish i want. so the paint should look like a mirror when finished.
Need to get off my arse and sand and paint the rear qrt window frames and front qrt frames too.
Was thinking of getting all the windows tinted as dark as possable (legal limit) so not to attract any looks from the boys in blue but i think i will still get pulled up just because it will be a good looking clasic

i only put it on as the intercooler pipe runs under the front and can be seen easy so i wanted a way to hide it. if you look at the photo of the front you can see the pipe through the brake duct on the drivers side.

Down the track i will look at an aftermarket inlet manifold and hi-mount turbo manifold so i can do away with the front spoiler.
Just want to get the car on the road as i have been building the car on and off for 9+ years. It was my dads dirt circut race car before he died in 2001 at the age of 56.
Dam cancer. it's still hard to think that only 2 months before he passed he was still winning races and working every day, even harder to beleave he could beat me in 100m sprint in under 12sec

Found the problem with the brake issue i had. it was caused by the nylon bush on the piviot plates in the brake booster bracket. at some time in there life they have fallen out and not been repalced causeing the plates to flog out causeing low peddle as it was not getting 1 to 1 push pull stroke from the peddle to the brake boosted. ohh well i now know the problem so in the process of fixing it and make new nylon bushes and plates and piviot bar.

here is how i fixed the brake problem. as use all would of seen i had to off set the booster to clear the inlet manifold. i had to get a second brake booster bracket and join 2 of them together as u can see in the photo. i then had to stop the rod from 1 bracket to the other from twisting when i put my foot on the brake to acheive 1-1 movement from one side to the other.
this was achived by turning up a shaft in a friends lathe and welding it solid on both sides on the original bracket and on 1 piviot arm on the other so if need be i can still remove the booster from the bracket.

car goes to the trimers in 4 weeks as i got the price back last night.
to fit the underlay carpet and carpet all the rear of the car arround the sterieo system and make a custom hood lineing .
The only thing i'am not doing at the memnet is the door cards as i havent desided yet to use oraginal ones cut down to fit the doors or to make them out of alloy sheet and get them powder coated for now. if i go oraginal ones its 900 pluss cutting them down and if i go alloy i can do it for arround 300. but for now $500 to do the rest of the interia is a dam good price i think and yes thats with me supplying all the matierals too. he just puts it in and makes the hood lineing.
He will have fun doing that arround the cage. lol

Some of you might remember the rear 1/4 inside the cabin was cut out for racing. i had some time to kill on the week end so i made some alloy door cards to go in and get covered by the trimer. heres some pics for ya all.
