They will have the "launch comp", its a fun 0-60ft comp, to kinda simulate the start you may do at the drags, its casually timed, and has a trophy for the best time, some take it serious, but many cars end up just doing power skids, so its much fun for all.

Plus anyone with a car inside can enter the launch comp for free, so for your $5 to get in the gate, you can show and have some fun running ya car ,and maybe even win a trophy or two.

Well Tony it looks like the Winternats are going to be rained out again so you might as well come for a cruise down to Parklands.

A few showers won't hurt a mighty Torana.

How about it el-Presidente ?

Dunno Bruce, its Mellisa's Birthday plus Im on after hours support so I was kind of hoping the rain would cancel Winternats which would therefore keep me in good with the missus and my boss.

Almost forgot, I have uni assignment due on Sunday too so it looks like Torana stuff will have to be pushed to the back of the line......

I did some searching, found a contact number and was told that at this stage it is still on.

He also said that you can call in the morning from 8am for confirmation. (07) 5537 8255 or check their website racelineevents.com for updates.

I'm at Ipswich as well and the weather has been shite, but I'm hoping for decent weather at the coast tomorrow - may see you there

Well i when down today and it was a very shit turn out of about 15-20 cars.
i think they need to do more advertiseing to attract more interest next year.
Maybe parts and peddlers mag it's free.

My brother and his mate Mark went down. Brother had a customised late model Monaro and Mark a V8 LJ.

They were also disappointed in the small number of cars there.

Congratulations on your win Glen.

It really doesn't come as a shock though as your car is a bloody beauty.

The trip home would have been a bit slower as you were carrying all that extra weight.

Some sweet cars there but just not enough of them

Congrats Glen, well deserved! It did look very nice, as my wife could tell you, she has heard a lot about your car since I got home.

I see that green V8 LJ has appeared on Ebay tonight, looking for a new owner.

well done on your win glen. It to no suprise you won as the qualty of some of the cars their should never even be thought of putting in a show ( white lx 4 door with dammage front and rear, green hatch with rust althou the top of the enginge looked good polished, black mustang with riples down the sides that made it look like the surf at the beach and cars with wiring hanging out all over the shop).
yours was well desurved as it was straight and very clean.

On the subject of the white lx 4 door with pursuit rims with torana stud pattern that had been welded in, how the hell do you get away with that on a road rego car??? was very pore qualty welds at the least????
accident waiting to happen i think.

When the local clubs dont even get invite, let alone a flyer there is something wrong with the promotion of such an event.

I ended up going to the drags and had a ball :spoton:
