ok if you believe something you would hope there is some fact behind it otherwise you can take someones believe as fact when it is not.

fact is car did not come from Griffith or leeton.

Wanted some info about Canberra Car yards with V8 LJ's and i could of Pvt it but i put it in here instead.

Alby owned a Car Dealership in Canberra in the 1970's, i am not him.

No need to do a V8 LJ Registar

I think we do need a V8 Register so that everything is recorded and facts don't change over time.

Just to clear up any confusion.....

 

This thread is about my car which I currently own. My car is not Bill's car & never has been. Bill bought his car brand new & has only just sold it.

 

This thread is not about V8 LJs in Canberra, or about Bill or his car.

 

The only reason I was looking for Bill ( not his car ) in my other, now locked, thread was that I was hoping that as Bill bought a new LJ XU-1 & was involved in the Torana scene in Canberra back when they were new, that he might remember someone buying or owning a new Red LJ XU-1 in Canberra, But, unfortunately he could not recall any.

 

So, as I stated in Post #42, I am looking for anyone who might have any info about a new Red stock standard 6cyl LJ XU-1 bought from Beazley & Bruce in Canberra when they were new, or a Red LJ XU1 253 V8 in Victoria / Melbourne in the late '70s / early '80s, as I believe from the dots I have been able to join that my car only got it's V8 when it was in Victoria.

 

So please, lets keep this thread on topic.

I believe this may be the original engine from my car, and was wondering if it, or the block, had shown up anywhere.
