Have you entered RUF IDL?
I've entered the street class in Orange HQ (sorry son Dads driving). The old girl is a "bang on" 7.70 car, best to date 7.71 @ 91 MPH. That was with full exhaust and slicks (thanks greenmachine215).
This event will be BIG!

I'm sure you'll run faster than 7.70.... 7.70 is the cut off for day licences

Took her out on the Northern Expressway for a "test & tune" ...I think I need to go and change my jocks, at full noise in top I spotted the "old bill" going in the other direction....I hope my number plate was a blurrrr... Thank god for the wire rope barrier in the middle of the road!

There will be a drivers meeting held on
Time: Sunday 30th October
At: Meeting starts at 6pm sharp so arrive early
Place: Salisbury Villa Soccer Club,
Cnr Kings Rd and Martins Rd,
Parafield Gardens.
(At the back of the Parafield Gardens Swimming Centre and behing the Slug & Lettuce pub. Look our for the Blue Ute with a sign in the back for entry driveway. You will not miss it!!!)
I can not emphersise how important it will be for you to attend this meeting. Racing has been missing in Adelaide for a very long time and I wish to clarify what will happen on the day, answer any of your questions, issue day licences if required. Mitch the meeting director and ANDRA officials will be there to assist and answer all questions and to clarify what will be done at the race meeting on 26th November.
If you require a day licence, can you please ensure your bring your $20.00 to cover this licence fee. The licences will be processed and issued to you on race day.
Please also ensure that you bring all your paperwork that you have not returned to us ensuring that they are all signed correctly including an initial on the bottom right hand corner of each page.
There will be a sausage sizzle for a small fee (this covers the rental of the property for us to use as a meeting hall) and the bar will be open for you to purchase beverages.
For interstate entries, and people can not possibly make it, we will take minutes of this meeting and it will be emailed to you. We would rather you attend the meeting so please do not take the easy option.
Please RSVP when you have recieved the email and how many will be attending. This is to confirm numbers and ensure that you have been informed about the meeting.
If you wish to bring one crew memeber that you have nominated on your form, you are more than welcome to.
The meeting will start at 6pm sharp so please allow yourself time to arrive and chat with fellow entries. Doors will open at 5pm.
Regards
Rino D'Alfonso

best day out in a long time even though i was feeling like crap, i hope they bring it back to s.a for good! you could barely get a spot to sit, by the time we left there at 5pm there were people parked almost to st kilda beach road, if that doesnt say we want drag racing back i dont know what does!

A friend of mine, Cara took these:

Love them photos.... especially numbers 70 to 80 (even if I am in the other lane)... The HQ doing some of it's best work!
This event was AWESOME! Congratulations to Rino and the Racing Onn Promotions crew for putting together a day and night that will never be forgotten.... As a matter of fact that event legendary!... From my understanding of drag racing crowds in recent years this was biggest crowd at Australia drag racing event for years! ...And would have to be the biggest crowd ever at an 1/8mile meet in Australia.
Can't wait to race my Torana in the new year!... Keen as hell now to get it finished!

We had one similar at Calder Park a few years back on Australia Day, we had 30,000 Spectators rock up and it was an absolutely AWESOME day! It seemed to get the Motorvate Melbourne thing up off the ground a bit...
Sad thing is, there hasn't really been much more since then...
I'd love for Adelaide and Melbourne to get back onto the National Circuit!

Hanging out for the next one.... I even got off my arse and booked my Torana's 355 in for an engine dyno run-in and tune (+ 200 shot)... Chassis kit and roll cage to be fitted in the next week... just waiting for my head-lining to arrive.
Project 9.90 time slip...has been re-motivated!
