Hey guys, just wondering if there is any problems with tacking something made from Mild steel with a Mig and then welding the joint with a TIG (obviously going over the top of the mig weld)
Mig welds are high-tensile arnt they? So I thought this could cause issues?

I don't see a real big problem with it unless the job needs x -raying.

It'll be fine.
Do youtself a favour and knock the top off the tack weld first,it will make the finished job a lot neater.
