Guys a came across this site and thought you all might appreciate it..Its dedicated to Racing history in Australia dating back to the 1930s when Bathurst was a dirt track all the way till todays racing

and page 7 has some excelent bathurst pics of its first days.

While reading this page I was thinking, gee this is set out the same as the old speedway site I go to, the I look at the bottom and there is Brian Darby's name.

Brian has done so much for bringing the old Motorsport photos, it really is a credit to him and the time he puts into collecting the memories. :clap:

I'll have to ask Brian to put the page from Surfers Paradise Raceway back up on the web. He had heaps of pics from the early 80s V8 taxis racing there, mostly the commondoors though.

Yeh Yella i actualy went right thru the hole site, got some excelent stuff up there.. I seen the Bill Killroy collection wiith the LJ torrys but there pics you see all the time, but bathurst in dirt i have never seen befor..

It woulda been great to have experianced a fraction of thoe events in real person at the time.. I didnt even ich my daddys pants in 1930 lol, actualy he woulda been ichin his dads pants..

What a great site how mad were some of those blokes up on two wheels in open wheelers no roll bars sensational, a great collection love the Bathurst stuff, thanks again.
